Does copying another seller’s listing count as IP infringement?

I am a new Amazon seller, and I am not sure about the rules around intellectual property (IP) infringement. I have found a listing for a product that I want to sell, but I noticed that another seller has already created a listing with the same information and attributes. I want to know if copying another seller’s listing is considered IP infringement.

Well, Jacob, it depends on the situation. Creating a duplicate of another seller’s listing on Amazon could potentially lead to intellectual property (IP) infringement issues, especially if the listing content, such as images and product descriptions, is protected by copyright or other IP rights. But if you’re just copying the attributes then you have to give the same information related to your product because it must be the same due to the similarity of the product.

It depends on what content you are copying, you cannot copy the images, you can copy the content like keywords and product attributes but you cannot just copy and paste the entire listing.
