Download flatfile template related to your product and its category. Select EAN as the product identifier from dropdown and enter the EAN code in the specific field. Next enter your product SKU, select category, select partial update and upload your flat file and wait for 15-30 mins and your issue will be solved.

Fill the inventory file of your category, select identifier as the product identifier and enter the identifier code in specific field. Next enter your product details and upload the inventory file.

There are the following steps:
1) Fill out the inventory file for your category,
2) choose the EAN standard as the product identifier,
3) Insert the EAN code into the appropriate section.
4) Enter the product information
5) upload the inventory file.

As UPC is selected and greyed out, you can simply solve this by downloading a flat/inventory file for your category and filling out all the required fields, selecting product id type as “EAN” entering the product ID and uploading the flat file.

As UPC is already chosen and greyed out, you can easily fix this by downloading an inventory or flat file for your category, filling in all the necessary data, choosing “EAN” as the product id type, entering the product ID, and uploading the flat file.

If you are getting a product identifier error manually then try to upload it by Inventory file and select “EAN” as the product id type.
-
Try to change it by EAN.

This error occurs because you selected the UPC as an identifier, and the UPC code is a 12-digit code, but you are entering a 13-digit EAN code. As a result, instead of the UPC, you must now use the EAN as an identifier. If it is not editable from the backend of your product, you can choose the inventory file and update it using the inventory file. Alternatively, you can save your product’s data and delete it for nearly 24 hours, then relist your product with the same SKU and EAN number and choose EAN as an identifier. If this issue is still not resolved, contact Amazon and they will guide you on how to change this.

This error is occurring because you put UPC in product identifier selection section and it is 12 digit code but you have EAN you need to download a flat file and enter the correct identifier name with it’s correct value and then submit it in seller central, hopefully this will help you to update the identifier in correct way.

You can upload the inventory file and select “EAN” as the product id type if you are getting a product identifier error manually.

By selecting the product ID type as ‘Flat File’, you can easily keep track of all the items in your inventory and make sure that they are up to date with the latest information. This way, you can ensure that there are no discrepancies in your data and avoid any potential losses due to incorrect information.

You can easily fix this error by chaging the product identifier type from UPC to the EAN from the backend of the listing. Then it is possible that your issue will be resolved.

You may simply correct this problem by changing the product identification type from UPC to EAN from the listing’s backend.
