Package sent to China did not arrive. What do I do?

Buyer has contacted us twice about a book mailed to China. Twice I have replied that the package was processed through the regional facility on 4/2/22, and that we cannot track its progress after it leave US. I requested help through the Amazon system and the auto-answer was “recommended cancel order”, and listed process for cancellation. But the cancellation system says it “can only be cancelled before shipping”. What am I supposed to do? The customer has not asked for a refund; just information.

Your options are probably 1) declare war and invade, or 2) refund. Going forward, I recommend only shipping to countries with reliable postal and customs systems with tracked delivery for First Class International. There will still be a black hole when the product leaves the USA sorting center, but it’s more likely to be checked in promptly on the other end.

Higher value stuff, you may want to set a more restrictive template and / or charge and pay for International Priority.

      FBA is also an option.
