What happens if UPS or any other amazon partnered carrier loses my packages ?

  You can provide them with the purchase invoice and they will give you the amount.

  You should have POD (proof of delivery) in case amazon loses your packages you will have the payment back.

  If you have created a shipment from your seller central and select UPS as the shipping method in this case if UPS loses your package you have to report it to amazon and provide the proof of delivery and then amazon will refund you not UPS.
