Well David!! The budget cap is mainly used to control the overall budget for example if we have a total of 5 campaigns each campaign has a budget of $10 then the total budget of the 5 is $50 and I set the budget limit to $40 in the backend. Amazon campaign is automatically closed when the total budget exceeds $40.

The budget cap means that setting the budget for the entire PPC campaigns of the account. This type of budget is also used for controlling the spending of the PPC. For example, if you have run 7 campaigns and every campaign has a budget of $5, the total spend for 7 campaigns will be $35. If you want to control the spending and set the $25 budget cap then all the campaigns will be out of budget when the budget will goes equal to $25.

The budget cap means that you have put cap on the budget of all campaign, when you put the budget cap from the setting it control the budget of all campaign that are active in the account, this don’t allow the campaign to spend more then the budget cap you have set.

The budget cap is intended to control the overall cost of your Ppc campaigns. When you fixed the PPC budget finishes, your campaigns will go out of stock for that day.

The budget cap is the total amount that all Sponsored Products campaigns in your account may spend within the time period chosen. All Sponsored Products campaigns will stop delivering once the budget cap for Sponsored Products is reached.

It is basically used to set a budget for a specific portfolio if you want to spend a specific amount of budget on any specific event you can set that. Only that budget will spend on all the campaigns that are in the specific portfolio.
