What is the amazon tax exemption program (ATEP)?

With the help of the Amazon Tax Exemption Program (ATEP), Amazon Business customers can use their tax exemption status to save money on certain purchases made from participating merchants like Amazon and its affiliates.

A business customer can apply for tax-exempted purchases from Amazon, for this you need to go to settings, from the drop-down menu, and select tax settings, there you can ‘Enroll in the Amazon Tax-Exemption Program’, & save settings.

Through the Amazon Tax Exemption Program (ATEP), eligible purchases made through Amazon and its affiliates and other participating sellers are exempt from tax.

Ensure you have all the information required for enrolment:
-> The region/state that you want to enroll in
-> Entity type for your business
-> Business address
-> Exemption numbers or exemption form (if applicable)
