I am at the stage of contacting the supplier via alibaba. Is it better to keep it short and simple in the initial message or put a lot more information? I have watched a few YouTube videos but they are contradicting!

Keep it short and straight to the point, they will ask you for further information (units, location, etc.), when the conversations going to ramp up.

Its better to have short but detailing message once you get the reply for one then send the another message. It will be more productive rather send the detailed message and later again explain .

At the initial stage of conversation, it’s better to keep the message short and simple. Then gradually you can go into further detail and information.

At the start, you should ask basic questions like product color, and material first you should be assured of the product quality then jump into deep conversation.

At the initial stage of contacting the buyer, just keep it short and simple and when the supplier replies back and the conversation goes on then we should provide details!

In the beginning, it’s best to keep the message short and simple. Afterward, when the conversation begins you can expand on the details.

start with the greetings, after that put your point of discussion e.g what you are going to buy, what are the colors, sizes, and moq for the products. if they respond to you for this you’ll need to give them more information about your desired demand.
