Campaign level budget : mostly we are using campaign level budget like if I have set the campaign budget 5$ it will not work after spending 5$.

budget cap : In budget cap suppose you have 2 campaigns with 10$ budget one of them have consumed 10$ and another one consumed 4$ amazon will distribute remaining 6$ to both campaigns to remain them both active.
with my experience Campaign level budget is best rule.

When you set the daily budget cap, you set the specific budget which you want to spend on all your campaigns running in your account. When this budget cap is reached, your campaigns will be stopped from running.

In a campaign level budget, you set the average daily budget that this campaign will use.

A campaign level budget is mandatory for each campaign. If you have a limited budget and don’t want to increase it, you can set a budget cap for your all running campaign.

A campaign-level budget works individually with each campgaign while the daily budget rule is used to set a daily spending limit for all of your active campaigns.

The daily Budget Cap, is the type of controlling the spend of PPC on all campaigns. With this You can limitize the budget of all campaigns. Whereas the campaign level budget is that your each campaign will use the all budget that you have set for 1 campaign.
For example, you have run 7 PPC campaigns with $10 budget of each campaign, the total budget of all campaigns will be $70. If you use the “campaign level budget” option you have to pay $70 for all campaigns. Whereas if you want to control the PPC budget you should have to go with “Daily budget cap” option, with this option if you set it $40 per day then amazon will use $40 for all campaigns and after completing the $40 budget your all campaigns will be out of budget.

If you want to launch new product and want to run aggressive PPC then you should have to go with “Campaign Level Budget” and if you wan to control your amazon PPC budget or spend then you should have to go with “Daily Budget Cap”.

      Daily Budget Cap:
Firstly Daily budget cap is basically use when we have to control the overall all running campaigns in the account let me discuss with you simple example If your total active campaigns is 10 and each campaign budget is $10 so for the total daily budget is $100 Now I want if my daily budget exceed the $100 limits it’s stop automatically. In this case we use Daily Budget Cap.

      Campaign Level Budget:
Now Secondly Campaign level budget It’s depend on the each single campaign if your one campaign budget $7 a day so if this budget exceed the $7 it’s Show your campaign out of budget.

That’s the main difference between these two topics.

In campaign level budget, the budget is only for your campaigns individually. Like you have set $8 budget for a campaign then this budget will use on only your individual campaign where you have set this campaign. However the daily Budget cap is used for all your campaigns. For example you have start 4 campaigns with $8 budget of each campaign and set the daily cap budget of $15, then this $15 budget is used for all your campaigns combinedly.
If you are launching the new product then you should have to go with campaign level budget and if you are trying to controlling your spend then use daily cap budget option.

If you have campaigns under a specific portfolio you can set the use budget cap which means you set a specific amount for all the campaigns under one portfolio, you can use a budget cap for a portfolio and you can set a budget for a specific date and the monthly recurring budget. This is mostly for the purpose of if you want to spend a specific amount for some campaigns for specific events and also if you want a monthly budget for some campaigns.
On the other hand, the campaign level budget is for the campaigns that are not under any portfolio and you set the target budget of each individual campaign per day.

A campaign level budget is when you set a specific budget limit to let’s suppose 10$ for a specific campaign it’ll stop running after that limit has reached, while, the daily budget cap is what you specify that again suppose 20$ is the amount you want to spend in a day, so the campaigns will be running till the daily 20$ limit has been met.

Both are good, it depends on what exactly your needs are if you don’t want to spend anything more than 100$ a day, so allocating 10$ to each campaign can be done by setting the campaign level or you can set the daily budget to 100$, now there is another factor in this you have 100$ as daily budget one of your campaigns eat the budget really fast and you have set the campaign budget for that around 80$ then that will have all the budget, in my opinion, adjusting bids and controlling budget directly from the campaign level better and give you a bit more detailed and precise control over the things. Also, another thing is supposed some of your campaigns start to take off during mid-night and one of the campaigns already toke 80$ from 100$ then the rest won’t have enough to perform their best. My advice is to go with a campaign-level budget for almost everything, but, things can be different experimenting is the key.

You can utilise a budget cap for a portfolio and create a budget for a given date as well as a monthly recurring budget if you have campaigns under a certain portfolio, which means you can set a specific amount for all the ads under one portfolio. This primarily serves the function of setting a monthly budget for some campaigns as well as a specified spending cap for some campaigns for particular events.
The campaign level budget, on the other hand, is for campaigns that are not part of any portfolio, and you determine the target budget of each campaign per day.

As I think, Budgets at the campaign level are reserved for your individual campaigns. For example, if you establish a campaign budget of $8, that money will only be used for the campaign you’ve selected. However, all of your campaigns are subject to the daily budget cap. For instance, if you start four campaigns with an $8 budget each and set a daily budget limit of $15, your whole campaign budget will be $15.
The campaign level budget should be used when launching a new product, while the daily cap budget option should be used when trying to manage to spend.

In the budget cap, the budget you select is for the campaign for the whole day, and in the campaign level budget, the budget you select is for each campaign individually. In budget cap, you can somehow control the daily budget for all the campaigns, and in the campaign level budget maybe the daily budget exceeds the limit sometimes.
