Why did Amazon refuse my subscription fee refund and close my KDP account?

    I created my first Amazon seller account back in November. I was charged a $39.99 subscription fee even though I never signed up for the Professional seller plan.
    During my onboarding Zoom call, the Amazon representative ensured me that I would not be charged a fee, so I filed a case. It was denied because “you have not been charged a subscription fee in the last 90 days.” This was false—I had been charged just 14 days prior.
    All of my ensuing attempts to appeal have been denied, and recently, Amazon mysteriously closed my KDP account.
